FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Rising uranium prices and AI-driven power demand position the geoscience firm as an upstream supplier to a rebuilding U.S. nuclear industry

i2m logo 4Houston, Texas — June 15, 2026 — I2M Corporation, a geoscience firm specializing in drill-ready uranium assets, today announced the expansion of its portfolio to more than a dozen projects across Texas and additional regions, positioning the company as an upstream supplier to a U.S. nuclear industry rebuilding around reactor life extensions, new construction, and small modular reactors.

The expansion comes as nuclear power undergoes a long-anticipated comeback, driven by rising uranium prices, surging power demand from AI infrastructure, and the need for reliable baseload power. Despite earlier setbacks following Three Mile Island, Chernobyl, and Fukushima, the U.S. industry has proven resilient — 94 reactors operate safely today and over more than 40 years, supported by improved regulation, advances in reactor design, and growing bipartisan recognition of nuclear’s role in energy security and decarbonization.

On the supply side, the U.S. nuclear industry faces a structural shortfall in uranium fuel that is expected to persist through this decade and beyond, the result of years of underinvestment and a deliberate shift away from addictive Russian sources (more) — and now a favorable environment for new domestic uranium production and enrichment. I2M, whose senior team’s roots in uranium exploration and mining date to the late 1960s, has spent the past 20 years building its project pipeline to meet that demand.

A Differentiated Model

I2M operates as a hybrid between a technical consultancy and a project generator. Rather than pursue high-risk, early-stage exploration, it draws on a proprietary database of legacy drill holes, historical reports, and newly interpreted data — with continuing input from I2M’s web portal — to advance high-probability targets toward confirmation drilling, resource definition, and permitting. Key advantages include:

  • Confirmation-ready targets. Extensive historical datasets, including NURE data and legacy and current drilling results, enable rapid advancement toward ISR-compatible resource development.
  • A diversified pipeline. More than a dozen projects across Texas and additional regions reduce single-asset risk while preserving exposure to multiple development opportunities.
  • A scalable model. A standardized geological framework lets projects be evaluated and advanced in parallel, increasing efficiency and appeal for development.

I2M recently added to its management team with the appointment of Jason P. Melton as Executive Chairman of the Board, an engagement led by co-founder, President and CEO Michael D. Campbell, P.G., P.H, C.P.G., who said recently:

“The fundamentals have finally caught up with what the I2M team has been preparing for over two decades. We’ve built a management and technical team and developed a pipeline of drill-ready projects and the technical depth to advance them, and we’re ready to help meet the demand this nuclear resurgence is creating,”

Reflecting on his appointment to I2M, Mr. Melton added:

“I am very pleased to join a geoscience-based company with veteran personnel in the uranium and environmental fields. With in-situ recovery, uranium recovery (ISR) is more closely related to environmental remediation than the conventional mining most people picture. That environmental stewardship, along with the I2M team’s scientific and technical expertise, is what drew me to join and invest in I2M. I look forward to helping the company become a significant contributor to the renaissance in American uranium production — which is critical to our nation’s security and prosperity.”

Partnership and Investment Opportunities

I2M’s model is well suited to joint ventures and farm-out agreements, in which partners provide development capital in exchange for access to advanced-stage projects — deploying capital toward confirmation, drilling, and permitting while reducing exploration risk and shortening timelines to potential production.
